Styling Jewelry for New Year's Eve

December 27 2021 – Ashley Schenkein

New Year's Eve is all about celebrating the past 364 days and looking forward to the year ahead. Not only that, it's also one of the most fun nights to get all dolled up for an evening out on the town or an intimate night at home. No matter what your plans are this year, it's still a great excuse to get dressed up and have some fun. Here are my top three tips:

Melrose Pavé CZ Disc Necklace

Don't be afraid to mix metals: 2022 is going to be all about mixing metals. You no longer have to decide between being a gold or silver girl...you really can have it all. When mixing metals, it's all about finding the right balance. I recommend focusing on two, but no more than three, tones at a time. Colors I like mixing: silver & gold, silver & gunmetal, gold & rose gold. But remember, there are no rules when it comes to accessorizing!

Go for a statement piece: You can never go wrong with one statement piece and working an outfit or your other accessories around that. The key to wearing a statement piece is to make sure that you don't overwhelm it with too many other sparkles in the same area. For example, if you're going for a large bangle, steer clear of any cocktail rings and go for a few stacking rings instead. If you're rocking a big earring, I would stick to a simple necklace.

Shoot for the stars: NYE is all about glitz and glam, so go ahead and get inspired by the night with some shimmery stars. It's on theme without being cheesy and adds the perfect amount of sparkle to any outfit.

Wishing you all a happy and healthy new year. xoxo, Ashley.
